WelcomeStewardship and Funding and Development Wordle to the Stewardship Funding and Development Team

*** Heritage Lottery Fund: Significant Changes to Grants for Places of Worship***
The HLF have announced that the GPOW scheme will end with final applications in August.

Funding for places of worship will be available through the HLF open programmes of Our Heritage and Heritage Grants meaning churches will be competing with all other forms of heritage building for funds.

Whilst this is a significant change and will likely present difficulties in attracting funding repairs, we would encourages churches to see this as an opportunity to better engage with mission.

For more information see our funding page and training and resources page.

** Gift Aid Small Donations Scheme Update - claiming under the scheme just got simpler! See our Stewardship page for more information**

The Stewardship, Funding and Development Team work to support parishes to build the resources of the Church to enable mission.

Our churches grow most effectively, in size and depth, when we are encouraged to engage all of our gifts in the service of God. This might be as simple as encouraging people to get involved in the day to day activities already happening at church, or to consider how their gifts, passions and interests might be used to begin something new. It might mean encouraging church members to regularly consider their giving, not simply as a way of meeting the needs of the budget, but as an act of worship and thanksgiving and an integral part of their Christian Discipleship.

It may also mean developing existing resources such as growing our activities and changing buildings to make them welcoming places fit to serve and be at the heart of every local community.

Above all, the team is here to help parishes to realise their potential by turning their plans and ideas into practical action.

The Team
