One stop shop for Education as new webpages launched

Today sees the launch of extensive new webpages from the Diocesan Education Team.

Richard Noake, Diocesan Director of Education explains more:

Richard Noake“The diocesan education micro website is a 'one stop shop' for all our partners and stakeholders.
It holds information, guidance and advice on a whole range of subject areas and issues pertinent to working in and managing church schools.

“As we develop new ideas for curriculum, on statutory issues, about leadership and management they will be uploaded to the website and colleagues will be able to access them directly through links embedded in our communications sent to schools.

“We are also working on developing password protected areas for those who subscribe to our enhanced service plan, where we will place additional resources relating to statutory and non-statutory guidance and where those who attend bespoke training and conferences can access conference and additional papers.

New Education home page“We expect the website to be accessed by our colleagues working in church schools and academies, our Multi Academy Trusts, our governors and our clergy colleagues. We also envisage local authority partners, the DfE and HMI will visit it. Of course, parents looking for a church school or with children already at one of our schools will find the site informative too.

“Diocesan education officers have spent a good deal of time developing the site, together with website and communication colleagues who have supported us enormously. We already know that there are areas we want to add to and enhance but it is great to be able to finally launch the new site to all our colleagues.

“We hope you’ll enjoy exploring and using them.”

Jonathan Gibbs, Bishop of Huddersfield and Chair of the Diocesan Board of Education added:

“I am very grateful for all the work that has gone into preparing our exciting new website.

“There is a huge amount of really useful material here for everyone involved in the work of our schools and we hope the website will help people to access information and support more easily and quickly than ever before.

“This initiative is a key element of our support for our schools in the vital and highly valued work that they do to serve our communities.”
