A safe house for girls in Tanzania

The Diocese of Leeds has had links with Tanzania for the last 30 years. Through working together, shoulder to shoulder, the Diocese  has been able to support various projects in Tanzania that help some of the poorest people in some of the poorest places in our world. In recent years, one project the Diocese has assisted with has been the setting up of a safe house, a place of safety for girls in Tanzania fleeing from the practice of Female Genital Mutilation or FGM. In this video you will hear from one of the girls telling her story, an account of survival and of hope.  As you hear the account of Pilli, please consider whether you can support this vital work. If you would like to know more then please contact the Safe House Link Officer Rebecca Cain on rebeccacain@outlook.com or 07921802837.
